Tablet publishes stain-glass homage to dissenting Austrian priest Helmut Schüller, leader of the ‘Call to Disobedience’

The Tablet has published a stain-glass homage to the leader of the heretical and disobedient Austrian priests movement, Fr. Helmut Schüller, who was stripped of his title ‘monsignor’ as a result of his defiance of the authority of his bishop. In doing this The Tablet has reached a new low in its promotion of disobedience to the Catholic Church by fostering the delusion of a parallel liberal Magisterium. Here we see The Tablet creating a parallel hagiology. . . . → Read More: Tablet publishes stain-glass homage to dissenting Austrian priest Helmut Schüller, leader of the ‘Call to Disobedience’

Catholic MP Robert Flello misrepresents Church teaching on conscience to justify MPs voting for gay marriage

In correspondence with Ms Patricia McKeever, editor of the Catholic Truth Scotland website, Catholic MP Robert Flello misrepresents Church teaching on conscience by selectively quoting from the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Gaudium et Spes and the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. In light of the fact that Pope Benedict XVI and the Bishops of England and Wales had made it clear that the Catholic doctrine of marriage was totally incompatible with same-sex marriage then it would appear that Robert Flello justifies other Catholic MPs rejecting the Church’s authority and teaching based on a mistaken notion of autonomy of conscience.. The cause of Robert Flello MP’s misrepresentation of the Church’s teaching on conscience was Catholic Truth Scotland’s petition demanding that Catholic politicians who voted for same-sex marriage are excommunicated. . . . → Read More: Catholic MP Robert Flello misrepresents Church teaching on conscience to justify MPs voting for gay marriage

Frightened of the Pope Francis effect the pro-abort UN raises the Media’s favorite issue ‘clergy child abuse’

The UN has a problem with Pope Francis, in that unlike Pope Benedict, who had the task as Prefect of the CDF of investigating allegations of sexual abuse against children, Pope Francis has no such history. The Catholic Church has been a leading member of the international pro-life alliance blocking the UN rolling out unrestricted and universal access to the killing of babies through abortion under the mantra that abortion is a human right. The UN must be worried about the popularity and influence of Pope Francis, so they get one of their committees to issue an unprecedented demand on any international body in an attempt to make mud stick on him. The Holy See should answer the UN’s questions, and at the same time reject its jurisdiction. . . . → Read More: Frightened of the Pope Francis effect the pro-abort UN raises the Media’s favorite issue ‘clergy child abuse’

Why the rise of Militant Islam and Militant homosexuality in the West? – Prof. Peter Kreeft

The West is undergoing the toxic combination of militant homosexuals, and their political and media friends, marginalizing and stigmatizing Christianity, and proselytizing Islam moving into the vacuum. Though militant Islam and the militant Gay Lobby are opposed to each other in so many ways they have two things in common – first, both hate Christianity, and in particular the Catholic Church, with an equal determination to deny our right to exist; and second, both Islam and the Gay lobby are treated with kid gloves and deference by the MSM. The Liberal media admit that they treat Islam and Christianity differently because Islam is the ‘religion of oppressed minorities’, and therefore falls within the liberal sacred ground of racism taboos. All Muslim militants need to do is shout ‘racism’ when asked searching questions and the MSM run a mile. And nowadays the MSM don’t even bother to be neutral or balanced about homosexuality and gay marriage. Thank you Peter Kreeft for having the courage to face down the PC totalitarians by raising this issue that we all know threatens our freedoms and existence in Europe. If you want to see the future of the Church in Europe go visit Egypt, Iraq,Syria or the West Bank in Palestine and see how Christians are treated. They are fleeing for their lives. . . . → Read More: Why the rise of Militant Islam and Militant homosexuality in the West? – Prof. Peter Kreeft

Since France legalised gay marriage the police have brutalised and arrested over 1000 pro-family protesters

Le Figaro has estimated that since François Hollande’s government legalised pseudo-marriage for homosexuals the French police have brutalised and arrested over 1000 pro-family demonstrators, with 500 detentions. Gregor Puppinck, a Human Rights lawyer for the European Center for Law and justice (ECLJ), has filed complaints against France in the UN Human Rights Council for brutalizing peaceful demonstrators. Videos show French police beating marriage demonstrators, using tear gas and clubs against women, men, elderly and children. What has been the response of David Cameron’s government to the French police brutally attacking peaceful protesters seeking to exercise their freedom of expression and association in defence of marriage and the family against pseudo-gay marriage? On the 29th June the British embassy in Paris displayed the ‘rainbow’ flag of the homosexual political activists from their property, clearly signaling that Cameron’s government has sided with the forces of totalitarian repression against the family. . . . → Read More: Since France legalised gay marriage the police have brutalised and arrested over 1000 pro-family protesters

Cardinal Brady allegedly tells Irish politician not to be concerned about excommunication if he votes for abortion

Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger gave very clear guidance to cardinals that Catholic politicians who voted for the legalisation of abortion or supported abortion should first be informed of the consequences of their immoral actions, and if they persisted in supporting the killing of unborn children should be denied Holy Communion. If Tom Barry TD is telling the truth then Cardinal Brady is not following the guidance given by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger. If Enda Kenny’s abortion bill passes with the support of practicing Catholic politicians it is not only those politicians who will answer for this mortal sin before God but also those Catholic prelates and clergy who abysmally failed to defend the unborn babies of Ireland and who utterly failed to convey to these politicians the gravity of the mortal sin they committed. Finally, Tom Barry expresses outrage that he has been called a ‘baby killer’ for intending to vote for Kenny’s abortion bill, apparently a ‘line was crossed that day’. What does he think he will be doing when he votes to legalise abortion, does this father of three think he is the ‘protector of babies’, ‘the champion of unborn babies’, the ‘saviour of babies’? He obviously doesn’t want to face the reality of the situation! . . . → Read More: Cardinal Brady allegedly tells Irish politician not to be concerned about excommunication if he votes for abortion

President Obama undermines the Irish Peace Process by attacking Catholic schools

President Obama’s misguided attack on Catholic schools proves once again that he is definitely in the camp of those militant secularists who are seeking to constrain, marginalize and diminish the human rights of Catholics and the Catholic Church. The UN Human Rights Convention states that parents have the right to educate their children in their Faith. For Catholics this necessarily means the Catholic Church have her own autonomous schools in order to create a Catholic ethos throughout the school. President Obama did the Peace Process a bad turn in Belfast by threatening our Catholic identity. . . . → Read More: President Obama undermines the Irish Peace Process by attacking Catholic schools

The House of Lords agrees with Catholic lawyers that clergy are open to prosecution over same-sex marriage

Since David Cameron announced that he was going to push through same sex marriage legislation campaigners seeking to defend marriage have pointed out that the ‘Gas and Dubois’ ruling made by the European Court of Human Rights categorically states that if a state legalises gay marriage then every institution that provides marriage services cannot refuse to conduct same-sex marriages. This is the legal advice given to the Catholic bishops and the conclusion of the House of Lords. If Cameron doesn’t provide cast-iron protection of churches who oppose same-sex marriage then it is 100% certain that Tatchell and Stonewall will engineer a legal challenge against the Catholic Church in the full media spot light of the pro-homosexuality media. . . . → Read More: The House of Lords agrees with Catholic lawyers that clergy are open to prosecution over same-sex marriage

‘I can assure you that the European Commission is not the Antichrist’ – EU official tells New York Times

The European Commission may not be the Antichrist, but it is creating an antichrist culture through its militant promotion of abortion, homosexuality, gay marriage, and the exclusion of Christianity from public life. It is in this antichrist culture that eventually the Antichrist will emerge. . . . → Read More: ‘I can assure you that the European Commission is not the Antichrist’ – EU official tells New York Times

St Mary’s University, Twickenham, subjects PGCE students to a two hour Stonewall-based training workshop

A simple question, what does Archbishop Nichols think of St Mary’s university engaging Stonewall, a gay militant lobby group, to conduct a two hour ‘training’ workshop for its PGCE students? This is what Ruth Hunt, Stonewall’s director of public affairs said about Archbishop Nichols Christmas homily defending marriage: ‘“It is a real shame he’s taken away an opportunity for gay Catholics to celebrate mass in a safe environment. Given what’s happened over Christmas, where there were vitriolic and mean messages from pulpit about same-sex marriage, there has never been a more important time to provide a safe space for gay Catholics to pray. The archbishop’s views on gay issues are well rehearsed and have nothing to do with the spirituality of some lesbian and gay people and their desire to express their faith.”‘ And a simple question for the Chair of the Board of Governors and the governors appointed by the Catholic Education Service, how do you justify paying for the services of Stonewall who oppose the Church’s teaching on sexual morality and publicly criticise Archbishop Nichols when he defends marriage in his Christmas homily? . . . → Read More: St Mary’s University, Twickenham, subjects PGCE students to a two hour Stonewall-based training workshop
