This weeks topics:
1. An Irish politicians voter guide on abortion - according to Catholic Church teaching.
2. Remembering actor and Catholic convert Sir Alec Guinness.
Host: Kathy Sinnott
Guests: Fr. John Harris OP / Mgr. Canon Cyril Murtagh
Description:

Part 1.
Following the report of an “expert group”, Ireland’s parliament is on course to implement abortion in Ireland. From the teachings of the Catholic Church, Celtic Connections examines what Irish politicians should and should not do when it comes to voting in this process. Kathy’s guest moral theologian Fr. John Harris OP points out that it can never be licit for a Catholic politician to vote for abortion, even under the guise of exceptional circumstances, and that to do so constitutes a grave sin. Father also talks about how excommunication applies in this situation.
Part 3.
Sir Alec Guinness  was one of the great British actors of the last century. In an exclusive interview to EWTN, friend and parish priest of Sir Alec,  Mgr. Canon Cyril Murtagh, talks about the deep and personal faith of Sir Alec, about his conversion and about the last moments of his life.
