Austrian professor calls for execution of Pope Benedict for upholding prohibition on contraception

Richard Parncutt, a Professor of Musicology at Karl-Franzens-Universitat Graz, Austria, has called for the execution of Pope Benedict XVI and his advisers for upholding the Church’s doctrine on the prohibition of contraception:

Prof. Parncutt wrote on his blog:

‘The Pope and perhaps some of his closest advisers should be sentenced to death. I am talking about the current Pope, because his continuing refusal to make a significant change to the church’s position on contraception will certainly result in millions of further unnecessary deaths from AIDS in the future.’

Parncutt maintains that he has “always been opposed to the death penalty,” classifying the punishment as “barbaric” and “racist.”

“Even mass murderers should not be executed,” he wrote before making a special exception for the Pope because of the mass casualties he says have been caused by the doctrine.

In the same opinion piece, Parncutt also accuses the Catholic Church’s  “racist” because many of those who affected by AID are on the African continent. “Those dying from AIDS are predominantly black.’

Prof. Richard Parncutt specialises in the psychology of music and is an Australian from Melbourne

Protect the Pope comment: Prof. Parncutt has a reputation for expressing extremist Green views about Global Warming. It is to be hoped that the Austrian police will arrest and charge Prof. Parncutt for broadcasting threats against the life of Pope Benedict XVI and unnamed advisers. His threats against Pope Benedict cannot be dismissed as those of a crank’s due to his position as professor in an Austrian university. Imagine the media uproar if a university professor stated that President Obama or the Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei should be executed. Will the international media even cover this news of a death threat against Pope Benedict from an Austrian professor?

Is this of sufficient importance for a publication. Tabloid nonsense!

    • Jonathan Marshall

Is this of sufficient importance for a publication?

Well, given that the man in question holds an important post in an Austrian university, then I’d say yes, it is.

What would have been your response to an Austrian professor who called for the execution of President Obama on account of his pro-abortion stance?

Prof.Richard Parncutt is a hateful bigot and must be prosecuted. Its a shambles that the media don’t pick up on this.

  • Karla

I think he might be Australian but working in Austria. Mel, I agree he is a bigot

Why has Uganda’s HIV rate been declining in a country that is increasingly Catholic? Any AIDS researcher will tell you its because in large part abstinence and fidelity has been promoted, which are central in Catholic teaching in human sexuality. If Catholic teaching on contraception was dangerous then you would logically see countries with large Catholic populations with higher or increasing rates of HIV/AIDS but instead you see the opposite

It is those that are promoting contraception that are inadvertently putting peoples lives in danger by telling them they can be protected against a latex sheath with a failure drug or an injectable or oral drug like depo provera which Melinda Gates of the Gates foundation promotes, which can increase the rate of HIV tramission

  • Someone should tell him to go steady on the prescription drugs.

Once again a reminder that a significant number of those in the “Green” movement are deeply anti-Catholic. As for the charge of racism, I hope that Parncutt will read a life of Margaret Sanger, racist founder of Planned Parenthood.

  • ms Catholic state

Someone should tell this mindless person that the Austrians are contracepting themselves to oblivion…..just like the dodo. Now is the time for the Church to go on the offensive, state the obvious and stop simpering to the secular masses.

So what? I’ve yet to meet a ‘green’ activist who wasn’t a fruitcake. And what is ‘psychology of music’ for God’s sake? Parncutt must be aware that no tribunal has the competence to pass sentence on a pope, so I presume he meant assassination not execution.

    Stone him!!!!!

This ‘professor’ has also called for the killing of those who challenge global warming. Subsequently he issued this retraction: – presumably because his desire to keep a publicly-funded university post has a greater grip on his malignant mind than his attention-seeking. He has not withdrawn his comments about the Holy Father.

  • Jose Veragio

The retraction published appears to be a complete retraction and apology for offence cased by the ‘texts’.

It followed a specific intervention by Lord Christopher Monckton, a Knight of The Order of Malta and the 3rd Viscount Monckton of Brenchley.

Lord Monckton’s full correspondence with the University of Graz may be viewed at this location:-
    Monckton of Brenchley

Lord Monckton has graciously accepted the apology which only his persistent efforts eventually elicited.

The University of Graz authorities have yet to investigate the circumstances.

The matter of criminal charges remains for the proper authorities to pursue.

I guess that this “professor” is posessed. Pope should contact him to Fatther Fortea; I think he can help the professor to get back to the world. What he said about the Pope do not deserve any additional comment. It seems that, at this time, he is a teacher for some students but it is clear, cristal clear, that he won´t ever be a master for anybody.

It is a real pity that, maybe, teacher´s mom heard the Pope.
