The blood of 1.72 billion children murdered through abortion over past 40 years cries to heaven for God’s justice

Dr. Brian Clowes, director of education and research at Human Life International, has conducted research into the number of abortions worldwide since 1973.  Dr Clowes estimates that there have been more than 1.72 billion abortions over the last 40 years. As Fr Shenan Boquet comments the killing of 1.72 billion children through abortion is ‘a trend that is not lessening but growing exponentially as more and more countries embrace and legalize contraception and abortion as methods of population control, which is always sold as “family planning” and “reproductive health.”

In China alone, there have been 336 million abortions, 196 million sterilizations and 403 million intrauterine devices since 1971.  Simon Rabinovitch notes that Chinese doctors every year abort roughly 7 million babies, sterilize nearly 2 million men and women and insert 7 million IUDs, though precise numbers are hard to come by.

7 million children have been murdered in the UK since abortion was legalised in 1967.

Fr Shenan Boquet comments:

‘As there was with the concentration camps of the Second World War, there should be outrage and outcry for the 1.72 billion children murdered in the last 40 years. Sadly their cries and those of our other most vulnerable brothers and sisters, the poor, the aged and handicapped, are drowned out amidst the growing waves of relativism, economic development and “rights” without responsibilities.’

Protect the Pope comment: Those Christians who support the killing of children through abortion have deluded themselves that the human race will not suffer the wrath of God for the murder of 1.72 billion children.  These same Christians have created a neutered image of Jesus who is tolerant and accepting of all life-style choices, including mothers and fathers choosing to kill their own children in the womb. They ignore the fact that Our Lord Jesus Christ mentions hell more than any other figure in the Bible, and in continuity with the prophets of the Old Testament refers to the coming Day of the Lord, when judgement will be visited upon the human race.

St Paul describes God’s wrath in response to human wickedness in his letter to the Romans which also describes what is occurring throughout our world, but particularly the West. There are clear signs that God’s wrath is at work in our society, and there is no doubt that this is in response to the murder of more than a billion children over the past 40 years. The blood of 1.72 billion children murdered through abortion cries to heaven for God to visit his wrath down on all who participate in, co-operate with, and support abortion. This is what St Paul writes:

‘For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and wickedness of men who by their wickedness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse;  for although they knew God they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking and their senseless minds were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools…Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever! Amen.

For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural, and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a base mind and to improper conduct.

They were filled with all manner of wickedness, evil, covetousness, malice. Full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity, they are gossips,  slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,  foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them but approve those who practice them.’ (Romans 1:18 -32)

The key word in the above passage is ‘contraception’. What is human fertility but the power to create a human being? To whom does the control of this power lawfully belong but to God alone.

Contraception violates not only the Sixth Commandment, but also the First. Not only does it violate the First Commandment, contraception and artificial reproduction connote an attempt on the Divine Sovereignty itself: a crime analogous to the treason of compassing the death or overthrow of the King.

    • Michael Petek

Let me expand on the point I made earlier. Is it possible that the reason why contraception and artificial human reproduction aren’t explicitly forbidden by any of the Ten Commandments is that they are so heinous as to be unspeakable even by God Himself?

  • Satan has been very efficient with that one. The salvation of many is tied to this one issue: the ones who commit abortion, the ones who facilitate it (for instance, the taxi drivers who bring the women to the abortion centres), the ones who promote it (like the media, for instance) and the many more who will not do anything to stop abortion, thus making themselves complicit of this grave sin without their realizing it.

Those Christians who support abortion should remember that Christ entered the world as a child, and that given the circumstances of His Blessed Mother, she would have been the perfect candidate for abortion if the Incarnation were to happen today, as she faced a life-threatening pregnancy. Would they have advised the Virgin Mary to abort her Child, then?

One the Day of Judgement, it will be no good us blaming Governments for the killing of the innocent. Not only did Christ mention Hell more often than any other biblical figure, as you said, but He also preached on Hell more often than He did on His Mercy. Those who want to know what Jesus thinks of abortion ought to read St Faustina’s Diary.

I have considered for some time the proposition that, in general, women and girls who procure abortion do so because they are deceived and are thus more easily pardoned than those who provide abortion services or administer abortions.

It seems that any of these people are vastly less dangerous to society than those who disseminate propaganda against Catholic truth of the natural law concerning the inviolability of innocent human life, the control of human fertility, the right and wrong use of the sexual faculty, the inviolability of the bond of marriage and the privileges of the family founded upon it.

Our mediaeval forebears seemed to have had a point in averring that dissent from Catholic truth on these matters ought to be a criminal offence and a capital one at that. They knew that, unless dissent were repressed by the civil authorities, the days of civilisation itself would be numbered.

The Right Honourable the Lord Steel of Aikwood KT KBE PC-aka David Steel is now 75.

Two knighthoods, a Privy Councillor, a peerage…..and facing soon enough the judgement of the Creator.

The promoter of the 1967 Abortion Act….the man who now has each year the killing of 200,00 unborn children in Britain on his charge sheet .

I hope his record makes my sins and transgressions seem trivial.
But still as stiff-necked , sanctimonious and hubristically arrogant as ever…..he will not evade nemesis.

And how many more have been killed by contraception and the morning after pill? :(

Abortion is a terrible thing, in my opinion, amounting to the murder of a child. Those people in Government who cried out so many times that women ‘have certain rights over their bodies and can do what they please to their bodies’ have probably not seen an abortion taking place. It is a dreadful thing to see.

In the USA and other countries, medical staff in abortion clinics kill the baby (of a certain gestation period) with a probe being inserted into the back of the neck. The live baby becomes limp and dies.

As I have stated before, on Protect the Pope, abortion clinics and the people who work in them are of a certain calibre of human being. They probably have families themselves and sit around the dinning room table with their spouses and children – eliminating from their minds that they have taken part in a process which has ended the life of a baby or many babies that day. In their minds the baby has no right to life or any legal rights at all because it is just a foetus.

I note with interest from the happy announcement from their Royal Highnesses of Cambridge, that Princess Catherine is expecting a baby. I was delighted for them. The announcement, in the early period of gestation, clearly stated BABY not a feotus.

Now then, Honourable Members of the House of Commons, do royal ladies have babies and the rest of us have a foetus?

Quite clearly, contraception and artificial human reproduction militate against the first commandment implicitly since these are acts of hatred towards Almighty God Himself violating His natural laws. The law of life is well set out in Genesis 1 and in Jeremiah 33. Foolish are those who disobey such ordinances. We can demonstrate with statistical information relating to health that people who flout these laws frequently suffer health-related consequences both of a psychological and physical character. Ultimately, it is the health of the immortal soul which is at risk. Even now we can discern demographic trends which indicate how reckless man is to attempt to engineer his own material future by tinkering with natural laws and trying to bring about another world other than the one created so marvellously by God.

As I have said, they go beyond violation of the First Commandment. They subvert the factual reason why God alone is Lord: He alone is the Creator of every human being. What is human fertility but the power to create a human being? And to whom could such a power belong save to God alone?

There’s a further point. If it were licit to make a human being (as is done in every artificial procedure) then the fertility technician would be the rightful owner of that human being according to the principle that, if a man makes something, then he owns it.

Louise Brown, the first ‘test-tube baby’, was made by Dr Patrick Steptoe and Professor Robert Edwards. If they acted licitly in making her, then she is both a person and a hereditament belonging in equal shares to their respective deceased estates.

      • Michael Petek

        This from

“In his [Professor Edwards'] hands, science was an attack upon the Christian world view. In 2003 he told the London Times: “[IVF] was a fantastic achievement, but it was about more than infertility. It was also about issues like stem cells and the ethics of human conception. I wanted to find out exactly who was in charge, whether it was God himself or whether it was scientists in the laboratory.”

And what he discovered was that “It was us.”

Thank you for this absolutely shocking statistic which condemns this era of infanticide and hatred of new life. I was actually looking for this a few weeks ago and never imagined it had gone as far as that.

The greatest evil ever in that it’s the organised killing of the most innocent and defenceless that we’ve a duty to protect, in its mind-boggling scale, spread of guilt due to its being sanctioned by peoples via their legislatures, effects on humanity, and the fact that it’s ongoing. Reparation will have to be done for every one of the billions of innocents slaughtered. I doubt those babies killed by their mother’s ingesting a targeted poison, which are probably many more than manual, third-party assisted killings, are included in the figures.

  • John Oglander

The boyfriends of the young women who have abortions, and who are thus relieved of their fatherly obligations, and the parents and friends who push for the young woman to have a termination also share in the guilt. It will be a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God!

  • Dr Mark Thorne

This makes for grim and sad reading. How long will it be before we are taking stock of those lives taken through involuntary enthanasia, on top of all this? For surely one day it will come.

You complete morons. You probably call conception by rape “god’s will” even though you condemn rapists. Do you realize 1.78 billion is 22% of the worlds population? That alone would cause mass starvation and dehydration, and just think of the 10 billion more birth control prevented. Time to think of reason, & rationality!

    • Michael Petek

Conception by rape is a good effect of an evil act. Rape was a capital offence under the Law of Moses.

    • Lynda

A person conceived as a result of rape is as precious and inviolable as any other person. “Overpopulation” is a myth promoted by those who wish to control people and make them powerless under their dictatorship. Watch Demographic Winter” for the truth about what has been wreaked upon nations, from demographers, based wholly on the numbers.

  • anon

The general public has absolutely NO idea of the extent of abortion in the UK. The mainstream media has been complicit in keeping the truth hidden.
