Cardinal Keith O’Brien hopes Pope Benedict will rally Catholics during these challenging times

In an interview with The Catholic Herald Cardinal Keith O’Brien expresses his hope that Pope Benedict XVI will remind Catholics how they should live their Christian faith today.

The Archbishop of St Andrews and Edinburgh said: “I should particularly like the Holy Father to remind Catholics in Scotland of the basics of our Catholic faith and how we should be living it in these challenging times.”

I love Pope Benedict – he is truly Christ’s representative on earth. How lucky we are to have him. Will be praying for him throughout his forthcoming trip – The Lord will be with him that is for sure.

I have commented on the same subject on another part of this site; my only difference of opinion is to say that we should pray for the holy father to make a good judgement about best use of resouces in challenging times.
    Terry.
